How does the Butterball® Turkey Gift Program work?
Companies
purchase Butterball Gift Checks in any
denomination (up to $30) to give to their employees or customers as
holiday gifts, performance incentives, employment anniversaries, etc.
Recipients may then redeem the Gift Checks at their favorite
store for Butterball products, including the full line of fresh and
frozen Butterball turkey products and lunchmeats.
2.
How long will it take to get my Gift Checks? Please place your order well in advance of the specific date that you want to receive your Gift Checks. (See Section 6 of the Order Form; Arrival date). It is very important that you provide a specific date that you would like to receive your Gift Checks.
Once we receive your Order Form and payment, it could take up to 10 days to process, print and ship your order.
For faster service, we recommend sending your Order Form and payment via an overnight shipping service (i.e., FedEx, UPS, DHL, USPS, etc.). There is also a space on the Order Form for your overnight shipping service account number (See Section 6; In a hurry? of the Order Form) that would enable us to express ship your order and save about 5 days.

Can I get my checks faster by faxing my Order
?
No,
we must receive your Order Form along with your payment before processing, printing and shipping your Gift Checks.

Do you have a list of stores in my area that carry Butterball products?
Although we do not have store listings of locations that carry Butterball products, Butterball is the only turkey brand distributed nationwide and it is
carried by virtually every major grocery store chain and food retailer in the United States.
Many smaller stores also sell Butterball turkeys during the holiday season.
5.
How many Gift Checks can I order?
There is no limit on the number of Gift Checks you can order.
However, the minimum order quantity is 20 checks.
Use Section 1 of the
Order Form to indicate how many Gift Checks you want and the denomination(s).
We recommend that companies order extra Butterball Gift Checks with their initial order.
This avoids having to place an emergency order to meet any extra requirements you may have.
You can always return unused Gift Checks for a full refund of the face value.

What Gift Check value amount is appropriate?
Butterball turkeys typically cost about $1 per pound. You can estimate 1 to 1.5 pounds of turkey per person, including leftovers.
For example, if you are serving 11 people (the average size of a typical family’s holiday gathering), we recommend a turkey between 10 -16 pounds.
The suggested Gift Check value for this turkey would be $15.00.
However, you may order Gift Checks in any dollar denomination you desire, up to $30.

7.
Can we order Gift Checks in more than one value amount (i.e.,
$15, $20 and $25) on a single Order Form?
Certainly.
There are three separate lines on the Order
Form (Section 1) for you to fill in the number of checks you want
and the dollar amounts. You
can vary the value to meet your specific needs.
For example, you may order a quantity of $15 checks, a quantity
of $20 checks and a quantity of $30 checks.
8.
What's the difference between having the “Payable To” line
read “Bearer” or just leaving the line "Blank"? Some companies prefer to personalize their “Blank” Gift Checks by writing an employee’s name on each Gift Check. Other companies prefer “Payable to Bearer” as turnover may occur prior to distribution of the Gift Checks, or the employee may not be the one who does the household’s shopping.
9.
Can we have the “Payable To” line on the Gift Checks
personalized with individual recipient names?
Certainly.
If you choose to have the checks personalized with individual recipient
names, there is an additional charge of 10-cents per check added to the
standard 95-cents per-check service charge. That means your total service
charge for each personalized check is $1.05.
To minimize the potential for error, we request that you submit your recipient name list in an electronic format (Microsoft Word or Excel preferred) via e-mail or on a CD, along with a hard copy list for verification. Please be sure to identify your company name on all lists or files provided. Do not include titles, departments, etc. All names must be 25 characters or less, including punctuation and spaces, and must be on one line. Names will appear on Gift Checks exactly as submitted.
10.
Why
is there a service charge for each Gift Check?
The
95-cents per-check service charge covers our administrative costs, check printing, bank clearing fees, advertising, shipping and other costs of implementing the Butterball Turkey Gift program.
11.
Do
you provide quantity discounts? Because we are exchanging even amounts of money, discounts on the face value of the Gift Checks are not available.
12.
Is there an extra charge for having our company's name printed on the
check stub?
No.
Just write your company’s name on the dashed line in Section 5 of the Order
Form. Please limit
the name to 28 characters including punctuation and spaces.
13.
Can we pay for our Gift Check order by credit card?
No, we only accept company checks as payment.
If your order is extremely urgent we will accommodate wire transfers.
14.
Can you invoice us for the Gift Checks?
If your company requires an invoice to generate a check please call us at (630) 986-5081.
We will fax or mail the invoice to you.
Please include a copy of the invoice when you send your payment.
In any case, we must
receive your Order
Form and payment before printing or shipping the Gift Checks.
15.
What if the cost of the turkey is more (or less) than the amount of their Gift Check?
If the recipient has a $15 Gift Check and the cost of the turkey is $18, the recipient would pay the difference. If the cost of the turkey is only $10, the
remaining $5 can go toward the purchase of other groceries.
16.
What if the recipient cannot find Butterball products in his/her store of choice?
In the unlikely event that this occurs, we suggest that the recipient ask the store’s Meat Manager for the location of Butterball products. They could also try another store in their area.
Virtually all major supermarket and food retailers carry Butterball products.
17.
What if a recipient loses his/her check?
Losing a Butterball Gift Check is basically the same as losing a personal check made out to a second party.
Anyone who finds this check becomes the bearer and could use it to buy Butterball products.
18.
What
if a recipient does not use his/her Gift Check before the expiration
date?
If a recipient has an expired Gift Check, he/she simply returns it to us using the address at the top of the Gift Check and must include his/her name and address printed clearly, along with the original expired Gift Check.
19.
What
if I’m in a hurry and I need my Gift Checks as soon as possible?
If you are in a hurry, there is also a space provided
in Section 6 of the Order Form for your
overnight shipping account number (FedEx, UPS, DHL, USPS). Once
we receive your Order Form and payment,
these orders wil be expedited and processed. Remember to
always specify an exact date that you would like to receive your
Gift Checks.
20.
We
have offices in several parts of the country. Can you drop ship them to
each location for us?
Certainly, if you provide us with your overnight shipping account number we can accommodate your shipping needs.
21.
What
if we order more Gift Checks than we use?
Unused
Gift Checks can be returned to us and we will issue you a refund check
for the full face value of those checks.
